Kernel memory corruption via unquiesced teardown DMA
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Use-after-free in the Linux pds_core driver allows attackers to corrupt freed kernel memory through DMA during device teardown. pdsc_teardown() frees DMA buffers without first disabling PCI bus mastering, so the device can continue writing after those buffers have been released. Exposure requires a host with the pds_core driver and relevant PCI hardware entering teardown or firmware recovery; no remote trigger or further impact is documented.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
