CVE-2026-9741Network attack vector

Plaintext disclosure via unencrypted vector-search filter literals

Published Jun 9, 2026 · Updated Jun 9, 2026

Information disclosure in MongoDB Server allows remote authenticated users to expose encrypted-field literals through vector-search filters. Query analysis for the $vectorSearch aggregation stage passes literals referenced by encrypted fields to the server as plaintext instead of encrypting them for QE or CSFLE. Access requires low privileges and use of QE or CSFLE with an affected $vectorSearch filter, exposing the literal values to the server.
