Authentication bypass via empty URL-Signature header
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Authentication bypass in OpenStack Zaqar allows remote attackers who know a project UUID to access messaging data through an empty URL-Signature header. The WSGI transport accepts the header's presence without rejecting an empty signature, bypassing both Keystone authentication and pre-signed URL verification. This reaches queue, message, claim, and subscription operations; administrative operations are exposed only when admin_mode is enabled, while websocket deployments are unaffected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
