CVE-2026-97395Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Credential exposure via table-controlled FileIO endpoint

Published Sep 29, 2026 · Updated Sep 29, 2026

Server-side request forgery in Apache Polaris before 1.8.0 allows remote authenticated users to redirect Iceberg storage requests to a chosen host. During commits or purges, the server-side FileIO client accepts a table writer's s3.endpoint property from table metadata unless catalog storage settings override it. A principal permitted to create or update table properties can expose operation-scoped storage request authentication material when the chosen host receives those requests.
