Request abort via unchecked array-items dereference
Published Oct 15, 2026 · Updated Oct 15, 2026
Nil-pointer dereference in kin-openapi openapi3filter allows remote attackers to abort HTTP requests during validation. UrlencodedBodyDecoder, MultipartBodyDecoder, and parseArray dereference missing Schema.Items values accepted in OpenAPI 3.1 array schemas. Exposure requires an affected form-body, response-header, or array-parameter operation; JSON request bodies and validated OpenAPI 3.0 documents are unaffected, and an unrecovered panic crashes the process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
