Remote command execution via unsanitized host argument
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
OS command injection in React Native Debugger 0.14.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute commands through the Open in Editor handler. The source record states that openDevTools in electron/window.js passes the untrusted host argument into an operating-system command without neutralizing shell metacharacters. Exploitation requires attacker-controlled host data to reach that handler; the public v0.14.0 tree does not expose the reported openDevTools implementation.
