Stored XSS via unchecked author social-link schemes
Published Oct 10, 2026 · Updated Oct 10, 2026
Stored XSS in ThemeFusion Avada 7.16.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through author social links. Fusion_Social_Icon::get_markup() renders profile contact fields into anchor href attributes using esc_attr(), leaving javascript: schemes unrestricted. Subscriber-level access permits injection; execution requires a visitor to click the author-page icon with Open Social Icons in a New Window set to Off, and occurs in the site's browser context.
