Frontend content injection via missing nonce validation
Published Jul 8, 2026 · Updated Jul 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Wp Js Detect 1.0.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter notification text and CSS settings. The plugin_settings function stores attacker-chosen values without valid nonce verification, and the plugin later echoes that content unescaped on the frontend. Exploitation requires an authenticated site administrator to follow an attacker-controlled link, after which arbitrary notification content and CSS appear to visitors.
