Contributor-level script injection via block attribute
Published Sep 30, 2026 · Updated Sep 30, 2026
Cross-site scripting in WP SYNTEX Polylang 3.8.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through a block attribute. The Polylang release notes identify the block attribute as the affected locus but do not disclose the exact attribute or rendering operation that fails to neutralize the input. Contributor-level WordPress access is required to supply the crafted content; the reported impact is browser-side script execution, not server-side code execution.
