Unauthenticated file deletion via traversable design key
Published Jul 3, 2026 · Updated Jul 3, 2026
Path traversal in Printcart Store 2.5.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary server files through an AJAX request. The store_design_data() function uses the nbd_item_key POST value, filtered only by sanitize_text_field(), to build a path passed to Nbdesigner_IO::delete_folder() and rename(). Unauthenticated access is sufficient because nbd_check_use_logged_in exposes the required nonce; deleting an operational file interrupts the site, while code execution depends on the file removed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
