Authenticated code execution via comment line terminators
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Code injection in DbGate JSON Runner 7.2.5-beta.0 through 7.2.5-beta.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript. ScriptWriter inserts comment.text and script.schedule into generated line comments without neutralizing line terminators, so crafted text escapes the comment and becomes executable code. Access to the JSON Runner is required, and injected code runs with the DbGate process's privileges.
