Cross-site scripting via unvalidated iframe HTML
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Cross-site scripting in Excalidraw 0.18.0 through 0.18.1 allows remote attackers to execute script via an imported drawing. The imported-file restore path accepts customData.generationData.html without validation, and the renderer places that string into an iframe srcdoc document. A victim must import or receive a crafted scene; the script then runs in the embedding application's browser context, enabling content injection and phishing.
