Settings modification via missing nonce validation
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Book a Room Event Calendar 1.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter plugin settings. The settings_form and update_settings paths accept an action POST and persist supplied configuration through update_option without generating or verifying a nonce. Exploitation requires a logged-in site administrator to visit an attacker-controlled link or page; the forged request can replace database connection details, encryption keys, and registration settings.
