Unauthorized label deletion via namespace confusion
Published Oct 18, 2026 · Updated Oct 18, 2026
Authorization failure in Gitea 28.1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete organization labels via repository requests. DeleteLabel compares the request's repository ID against the target label's organization ID without distinguishing the two namespaces. Exploitation requires issues-write access and matching numeric IDs; deletion removes the organization's labels and their issue associations.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
