Authenticated directory deletion via unvalidated cache path
Published Sep 27, 2026 · Updated Sep 27, 2026
Path traversal in Sven Bluege Event Gallery before 6.5.0 allows remote authenticated users to delete writable directories through the cache task. The cache.process task passes the attacker-controlled images parameter to recursive directory deletion without restricting the resolved path to Event Gallery cache locations. Access to the Joomla administrative task is required, and deletion is limited to directories writable by the web-server account.
