PHP code execution via included add-on config.php
Published Sep 30, 2026 · Updated Sep 30, 2026
Code execution in baserCMS Users Community BcAddonMigrator 5.2.0 and earlier lets remote authenticated users run PHP via add-on ZIP files. During baserCMS 4-to-5 conversion, the migrator includes the uploaded add-on's config.php instead of treating it as data, executing embedded PHP. An administrator must convert a crafted plugin or theme ZIP, including one supplied by an untrusted third party; the code can read or delete server files.
