CVE-2026-97149Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Same-account object disclosure via unsigned copy header

Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026

Authorization bypass in OpenStack Swift allows remote attackers with signed TempURLs to read other objects in the same account. The tempurl middleware accepts X-Copy-From on a signed PUT even though the signature covers only the method, expiry, and path, so copy middleware substitutes an unapproved source object. Exploitation requires the default tempurl-and-copy proxy pipeline, account-level TempURL keys, and usable PUT and GET TempURLs; cross-account copies remain rejected.
