Account takeover via unchecked user management endpoints
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Broken object authorization in X-SpringBoot through 6.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter or delete arbitrary user accounts. The POST /sys/user/update and POST /sys/user/delete handlers accept a target user without verifying that the caller owns or may administer that object. User-management permission is required; a sub-administrator can reset any password, rebind roles, delete users, or take over the super administrator account.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
