User redirection via unvalidated submit-url destination
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Open redirect in Edimax BR-6428nC 1.16 allows remote attackers to send users to untrusted sites through crafted submit-url values. The goform handler's websRedirect function accepts submit-url from multiple endpoints and returns the supplied destination without validating it. A user must follow an attacker-crafted link; the bounded effect is browser redirection, with no reported router data disclosure or code execution.
