CVE-2026-96890Network attack vector

Internal host requests via unvalidated credential endpoint

Published Oct 6, 2026 · Updated Oct 6, 2026

SSRF in GitHub Enterprise Server 3.20, 3.21, and 3.22 allows remote authenticated users to make the appliance contact internal hosts. The GCP service-account secret validator trusts a token endpoint embedded in a committed credential and requests it without restricting the destination. Exploitation requires repository push access and enabled secret-scanning validity checks; the resulting internal request can be chained to execute code on the appliance.
