Code execution via premature XML entity free
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Use-after-free in librsvg on Red Hat Enterprise Linux allows attackers to crash applications or execute code through crafted SVG files. The XInclude parsing path accepts nested XML inclusions with duplicate entity declarations and frees an entity while libxml2's parser still references it. Exploitation requires an application to process attacker-controlled SVG content; a successful trigger can terminate that process or corrupt memory for code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
