Stored XSS via unescaped display-name attribute
Published Oct 10, 2026 · Updated Oct 10, 2026
Stored XSS in WPXPO PostX 5.1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via crafted display names. Archive_Title.php:144 inserts display_name into a quoted alt attribute without escaping double quotes that survive WordPress's pre_user_display_name filter. The documented write path requires Subscriber access to /wp-admin/profile.php and a visit to an affected page; Wordfence labels the flaw unauthenticated but does not describe an unauthenticated write path.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
