Unauthenticated tool invocation via all-interface binding
Published Jul 28, 2026 · Updated Jul 28, 2026
Improper access control in Alibaba Cloud RDS OpenAPI MCP Server 1.8.0 through 3.1.2 allows remote attackers to invoke MCP tools. Affected releases set SERVER_HOST to 0.0.0.0 during startup and accept MCP requests without authenticating the client. Network reachability to the listening port is the only gate, and invoked credential-backed tools can disclose RDS information.
