Authenticated RCE via dynamic export function generation
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Code injection in Horilla HRMS before 2.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute operating-system commands through list-view exports. The HorillaListView.export_data method interpolates field_tuple[1] from the columns POST value into Python source and executes the generated function definition. Any authenticated account able to invoke a list-view export can run commands with the application process privileges, including root in the shipped container.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
