Code injection via unescaped OpenAPI media-type keys
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Code injection in Orval before 8.29.0 allows attackers to execute JavaScript through crafted media-type keys in OpenAPI specifications. The generator inserts each media-type key into a single-quoted Content-Type literal without escaping characters that terminate the literal. Execution occurs only after an untrusted OpenAPI specification is processed and a resulting fetch operation or mock resolver is invoked.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
