Unauthorized scraping via unchecked external messages
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Missing authorization in ByteDance Coze Scraper Extension 2.0.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to submit external scraping requests. The external message listener in static/background/index.js accepts URL, pagination, and XPath parameters without authorizing the sender. Reachability requires an external Chrome runtime message; accepted requests can direct scraping against attacker-selected URLs and XPath targets.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
