Authenticated SSRF via unrestricted transcode path target
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
SSRF in Plex Media Server before 1.43.3.10861 allows remote authenticated users to make server-side requests to arbitrary hosts. The /video/:/transcode/universal handler accepts an attacker-controlled path value as a target URL without restricting its destination. Valid Plex access is required, and successful requests can reach internal services or external addresses from the server's network position.
