Unauthenticated SSRF via unrestricted protocol URL
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Server-side request forgery in Plex Media Server before 1.43.3.10861 allows remote attackers to force outbound POST requests. The /player/timeline endpoint treats a full URL in the protocol parameter as the destination without restricting its host. Any X-Plex-Token value satisfies the request gate, enabling attacker-chosen POST destinations reachable from the server.
