Arbitrary file read via unchecked URL path
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Path traversal in Plex Media Server before 1.43.3.10861 allows remote authenticated users to read server-accessible files. The /system/agents/media/get handler builds a filesystem path from the url parameter without rejecting ../ traversal sequences. A valid session token normally provides access, while a LAN-adjacent attacker can spoof X-Forwarded-For; exposed files can include the PlexOnlineToken.
