Cross-device shadow disclosure via unchecked device IDs
Published Oct 2, 2026 · Updated Oct 2, 2026
Missing authorization in all versions of Meari IoT Cloud Platform OpenAPI Service allows remote authenticated users to read any device shadow by ID. The shadow retrieval path accepts a supplied device ID without checking whether the requester is authorized for that device. A valid service account and target device ID suffice to expose device credentials, owner details, network data, and telemetry; this flaw has no reported write impact.
