Authenticated console hang via unbounded ring-buffer query
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Resource exhaustion in Robur Albatross before 2.7.2 allows remote authenticated users to hang albatross-console. When the ring buffer is full, albatross-console accepts a very high or negative history count, or a date earlier than every buffered message, without bounding resource use or reaching a recognized termination condition. Exploitation requires authorization to submit console subscription commands and enough unikernel log output to fill the 1,024-line ring buffer; unauthorized clients cannot trigger the hang.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
