Password recovery via unsalted MD5 hashes
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Weak password hashing in sfturing hosp_order 627f426331da8086ce8fff2017d65b1ddef384f8 allows attackers with database access to recover passwords. The MD5.getMD5 helper passes raw password bytes directly to one MD5 digest, while registration and reset store the deterministic 32-character output without a unique salt or work factor. Exploitation requires acquiring stored hashes through database access or backup exposure; identical passwords yield identical hashes that support efficient offline dictionary or rainbow-table recovery.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
