Script execution via unsanitized SVG avatars
Published Oct 13, 2026 · Updated Oct 13, 2026
XSS in YouMind's avatar update endpoint allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript via SVG profile-picture URLs. The endpoint accepts SVG content without sanitization or validation, and the CDN serves the image as image/svg+xml with embedded JavaScript intact. Execution requires direct navigation to the image URL and occurs in the CDN domain's context, not the portal's origin.
