Unauthenticated post overwrite via unchecked submission form
Published Sep 26, 2026 · Updated Sep 26, 2026
Missing authorization in Axelerant Testimonials Widget 4.0.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to create or overwrite WordPress posts. The front-end testimonial submission handler accepts a caller-supplied post identifier and writes the submitted title, content, and author without checking capabilities or post ownership. No account is required, and targeting an existing identifier permits arbitrary post-content and author changes.
