Administrator account creation via conditional nonce bypass
Published Sep 26, 2026 · Updated Sep 26, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in AtlasAI Connector before 1.8.2 allows remote attackers to perform administrator-only REST actions. For cookie-authenticated REST requests, the plugin conditionally accepts an attacker-influenced value instead of correctly verifying the WordPress REST nonce. A logged-in administrator must visit a crafted page; successful requests can create a new administrator account and make other site changes.
