Second-factor bypass via untrusted request headers
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Authentication bypass in Red Hat build of Keycloak allows remote authenticated users to skip OTP by supplying a crafted HTTP header. ConditionalOtpFormAuthenticator matches raw request header names and values against noOtpRequiredForHeaderPattern and calls the authentication context success path on a match. Exploitation requires a valid user password and a Conditional OTP flow whose skip-header pattern accepts the attacker-controlled header.
