Heap disclosure via unchecked QuickLook bounds
Published Oct 9, 2026 · Updated Oct 9, 2026
Out-of-bounds reading in Canva Affinity before 3.3.1 allows attackers to read heap memory via crafted documents previewed on macOS. The QuickLook thumbnail and preview generators perform inadequate bounds checking on Affinity document data, reading beyond heap allocations into adjacent memory. Exploitation requires a user to display or preview the crafted file in Finder; the rendered image exposes heap contents, including memory addresses.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
