Authenticated crash via unbounded array-combination evaluation
Published Oct 13, 2026 · Updated Oct 13, 2026
Memory exhaustion in MongoDB Server's match evaluator allows remote authenticated users to crash mongod via nested aggregation filters. The evaluator accepts internal schema validation operators in user-supplied filters and evaluates every combination of array elements when those operators are nested, without sufficient resource limits. Read-only aggregation access and documents containing arrays are sufficient to exhaust memory and terminate the database process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=8.3.0 <8.3.13
