Unauthenticated stored XSS via session-history entity decoding
Published Oct 10, 2026 · Updated Oct 10, 2026
Stored XSS in WP Photo Album Plus 9.3.03.002 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts via session-history URLs. REQUEST_URI passes through esc_url_raw(), which preserves HTML entities; wppaEntityDecode() restores tags before jQuery('#wppa-modal-container').html() renders them. Injection requires no authentication, but execution requires a user to access the injected page and remains within the browser's site context.
