Cross-user album disclosure via unscoped ownership check
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Authorization bypass in Photoview 2.4.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to expose other users' private albums. The AddAlbumShare ownership query checks whether the caller owns any album but never binds that check to the supplied album ID. An authenticated non-admin account with at least one owned album can mint lasting share tokens for a victim album, allowing anyone with the resulting link to view its photos and sub-albums.
