License-state modification via unchecked AJAX handlers
Published Sep 19, 2026 · Updated Sep 19, 2026
Missing authorization in Flextheme Flex Import 3.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter the plugin's license state. The license_activate_fleximp() and license_deactivate_fleximp() AJAX handlers omit capability and nonce validation before writing or deleting license-related WordPress options. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to activate a fraudulent key or deactivate the legitimate key, disrupting premium features.
