CVE-2026-9605Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Application crash via unchecked decompression bounds

Published May 26, 2026 · Updated May 26, 2026

Heap buffer overflow in GNU LibreDWG 0.13.4.8160 and earlier allows attackers to crash dwgbmp with a malformed R2004 DWG file. During R2004 compressed-section decoding, read_2004_compressed_section fails to ensure the section address and size fit dec.size, so bit_read_RC reads one byte past the heap buffer. Processing an attacker-supplied DWG file is required; the published reproducer demonstrates an AddressSanitizer-detected crash, not code execution.
