Authenticated script execution via unescaped location messages
Published Jun 6, 2026 · Updated Jun 6, 2026
Stored XSS in Flipper Code WP Maps 4.9.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through location_messages. The location model stores the parameter without sufficient sanitization, and the shortcode view renders the saved value without context-appropriate output escaping. Exploitation requires the wpgmp_manage_location capability, assigned to administrators by default but configurable for lower roles; the script runs when visitors open a page containing the affected map location.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
