CVE-2026-9593

Unauthorized device access via crafted debug-trigger file

Published Aug 3, 2026 · Updated Aug 3, 2026

Uncontrolled search path handling in Endress+Hauser FDI Package library allows local users to enable the iDTM debug interface. The iDTM FDI searches its application directory for a file whose presence activates debugging, allowing a crafted file to serve as the trigger. Exploitation requires elevated host privileges and directory write access; subsequent remote iDTM use exposes connected-device data and permits modification or operational disruption.
