Authenticated arbitrary file upload via client MIME type
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
Unrestricted upload in Sain Saburaj Pixtream at commit 866afd4 allows remote authenticated users to store arbitrary files via media. post_upload.php checks the client-controlled media type against an allowlist, preserves the original filename extension, and moves the file into post_uploads without inspecting its content. A valid Pixtream session is required; an attacker can place chosen content in the web application, while code execution depends on server handling of the saved extension.
