Unauthorized grading changes via unvalidated POST requests
Published May 26, 2026 · Updated May 26, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in CET Automated Grading System with AI Predictive Analytics 1.0 allows remote attackers to alter grading data. The manage_subjects and add_grade actions accept authenticated POST requests without anti-CSRF validation, so attacker-controlled forms can create subjects and record grades through a victim's active session. An authenticated administrator or faculty member must load attacker-controlled content; the demonstrated consequence is unauthorized subject and grade creation.
