Open redirect via url_for option injection
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
Open redirect in e621ng E621 before 26.09.16 allows remote attackers to send users to attacker-controlled origins via crafted URLs. Crafted host, protocol, and port request parameters reach Rails url_for as top-level options in PaginatorComponent and controller navigation links instead of query data. A victim must load a crafted URL and then follow a generated pagination or navigation link, enabling redirection from the legitimate site to a malicious origin.
