Event attribute disclosure via malformed ACL permission
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
Improper access control in MISP before 2.5.47 allows remote authenticated users to read event attribute data through a preview endpoint. The ACLComponent rule for previewEventAttributes names the nonexistent permission theming_enabled* instead of theming_enabled, preventing the intended permission match. An authenticated account and endpoint reachability are required; successful access exposes indicators and attributes outside the account's assigned role.
