File-existence probing via organization name traversal
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
Path traversal in MISP before 2.5.47 allows remote authenticated users to probe server file existence through organization names. The __statisticsOrgs method inserts each organization name into an app/webroot/img/orgs path and passes the result to file_exists() without sanitizing traversal sequences. Exploitation requires permission to create or rename an organization, and current deployments lack the referenced directory, so the check produces no useful existence signal.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
