Authenticated file enumeration via forged upload path
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
Information disclosure in MISP before 2.5.47 allows remote authenticated users with perm_add to enumerate server files by path. EventReport::uploadPicture probes a caller-supplied tmp_name with file_exists, mime_content_type, and exif_imagetype before confirming a genuine PHP upload. Distinct validation errors disclose file existence and type, but not contents, and the attack requires permission to add or edit an event report.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
